Just a heads up that the 2010 Olympics is right around the corner and you need to be very aware that housing and jobs may be hard to come by.

We are also having some feedback from our local sources that employment has been harder to get then usual due to the current economic situation and sadly because of a bad snow season - a lot of Aussies were let go early then usual this season.

 Go in with an open mind and plenty of money in your pocket just in case. We suggest you have a back up plan and try and line up interviews before you arrive. Use sources such as the Pique News Magazine www.piquenewsmagazine.com or the official Whistler website www.whistlerblackcomb.com or the Chamber of Commerce www.whistlerchamberofcommerce.com to find out what’s going on in Whistler as far as news, jobs 2010 opportunities.

Well we are approaching that time of the year when housing is getting a little hard to come by.

Keep checking the Pique News Magazine every Thursday for available housing and for those willing to work for ‘the mountain’ check to see what staff housing is still available on www.whistlerblackcomb.com

If you would like to post an ad on the blog page please make sure that you keep checking online for any comments made - some people are not always notifying you by the email address or phone numbers that you have given and they are posting queries/answers under the blog in the comment section.

Keep checking through past blog comments as well as it may be worthwhile contacting people who have previously advertised for roomies as they may well not have worked out!

It can be tough but hang in there - dont forget you are more then welcome to email us if you would like us to put a post up for you and keep in mind we have access to some great airfares from Australia to Canada.

The Whistler Chamber is working on plans to build some temporary employee housing. The Chamber are registering interest and are now onto waiting lists so register your interest now - visit www.whistlerchamber.com - and go to the ‘Latest News’ where you will find an article titled ‘Temporary Housing’ - get in quick!!
