After a fantastic Ski season in Whistler why not move onto to Toronto for the summer and have a kick of Footy with the Toronto Rebels. The league consists of 10 teams and we play about a 14rd season starting in May. Toronto is great city to spend the summer and you will have the advantage of meeting a great bunch of blokes at the Toronto Rebels footy club.

The Rebels will provide you with assistance with finding accommodation, work and obtaining a visa if necessary. This is a fantastic opportunity to spend a summer in Toronto , meet some great people and play footy in the biggest league outside of Australia . How’s it going in Beautiful Whistler?

It’s been a funny few months here in the office - I think the recent negativity associated with the current economic climate has put a few Aussies off the idea of travelling…..very sad indeed.

SO we are calling on all Whistler based Aussies to give the Aussies down under who are ‘umming and rrring and sitting on their behinds’ some great reasons on why they should ‘just bloody do it’!!!!

Our panel of judges will pick the best ‘reason’ and send the winner out a $50 drink voucher !!

Just a heads up that the 2010 Olympics is right around the corner and you need to be very aware that housing and jobs may be hard to come by.

We are also having some feedback from our local sources that employment has been harder to get then usual due to the current economic situation and sadly because of a bad snow season - a lot of Aussies were let go early then usual this season.

 Go in with an open mind and plenty of money in your pocket just in case. We suggest you have a back up plan and try and line up interviews before you arrive. Use sources such as the Pique News Magazine www.piquenewsmagazine.com or the official Whistler website www.whistlerblackcomb.com or the Chamber of Commerce www.whistlerchamberofcommerce.com to find out what’s going on in Whistler as far as news, jobs 2010 opportunities.
